Some poetry from a while back.
-M-
Memory pulls at me,
A whirlpool in the sand.
Golden desert before me,
Setting sun at my back,
Silver-lined clouds float above-
The sky laughs down at me.
Echoes
Repercussions continue,
My heart still beats fast and true
As my writings carry through
My thoughts and dreams of you.
Anarchy and chaos reign,
Though my thinking runs insane,
As emotions fill my veins.
Can we ever talk again?
Everything that I have learned,
All the love that I have earned,
Means nothing, as Truth discerned
Brightens, Showing Truth is burned.
Friendship for an instant shared.
Love and lust openly bared.
This, something I never dared,
Thinking that you might have cared.
After all is said and done,
I believe you’re still the one
Who creates the dawning sun:
I will follow till I’ve won.
Mixed Emotions
I.
Transient beams,
Radiant seams
Across the sky,
Caught softly by
Ivory hands.
The answer lies
Revealed in eyes:
Aphrodite
Calling me through
Intentions’ mists.
Together trace
Racing heart’s pace.
Above, the light
Clearing the night.
I call to you.
Do you hear?
II.
Caught in a whirlwind,
Hollowly shouting.
Envy enlightened
Lonely wandering.
Love slowly darkened,
Escape believing.
III.
Love is already sealed in her,
Already engaged,
Under vows to him.
Rebellion is over,
Innocence is betrayed,
Emotion’s smallest whim.
Confusion?
IV.
To you I turn.
Remember me?
Am I to burn
Casually
In my desire?
V.
Lost in fantasy,
Illusion called home.
Silence is and answer,
And your lips are cold.
Never again.
VI.
Knights in shining armor,
Insistent on defeat,
March in your memory
Before you close your eyes.
Eyes of as mutant shade
Reverberate your mood:
Life and love reflected,
Yet you and I won’t work.
VII.
Lust, maybe, is all it was,
Or an infatuation.
Romance does not fit your laws
If all you desire is sex.
A lost cause.
VIII.
Because you are young,
Eternally blessed.
Thoughts in foreign tongue-
Have you been outclassed?
IX.
A blonde goddess,
Nothing short of
Demeter
Remembering
Eternity,
An afterthought.
X.
Mixed emotions,
You understand,
Seem confusing,
Even damning...
Let them escape
For someone else.
The Madrigal Winds
Madrigal winds of blue and gold
Spin soft the silken webs
Of night and capture
In their fragile strands
The stars of other worlds.
They blow through the
Millennia
Carefree as the moon
As they wander
From horizon
To lands’ endings
And whisper away
The nightmares held within
The darkness of your mind.
Sailing ships of strange
Design
Are allowed
To wing their way
Across the winds,
Pushed by solar fires.
Pirates and navies
Of many races
War among the breezes,
But the madrigal winds
In your grey eyes care not,
For they are cold.
