Some thoughts during a required staff development meeting that lasted all day long at the high school at the beginning of the school year just finished. Live with the long subtitle.
Revolution vs. Anarchy
Revolt against the system Revolt against any system
Possibly constructive, usually not Rarely constructive, always changing
Usually armed, possibly fatal Sometimes armed, rarely fatal
Represses learning Forces learning
Masses overthrow government Individuals overthrow government
Military leader replaces the old Old offices left empty
Can lead to dictatorship Can never lead to military leadership
Rarely successful, rigid legal Always successful, doesn’t last
system follows, bad for morale long, disorganized, bad for morale
Revolutionaries could, and always will, overcome anarchists. Revolutionaries are so militant on a regular basis that they will always choose force of arms against an opposing force, be it the armed forces of a government, the administration of a government, citizens, or anarchists (anarchists by definition cannot be true citizens of any nation as they do not believe in any cohesion between individuals other than those relations chosen by the individual). Revolutionaries are, without exception, dangerous to the education of the youth. They teach fundamentalism and repression. Anarchy forces change. It teaches self-reliance and requires a strong sense of self. People are required to be individuals, away from the masses and the dangers of peer or group pressure.
