Gorgons are horrible creatures. They are the mythical creatures of which Medusa and her sisters were prime examples. Beautiful females from the hairline down, gorgons have snakes instead of hair. Horrible. Because of their special attacks, gorgons cannot live in communities, so they are solitary creatures, usually living on islands or mountain tops. Gorgons have, as stated before, a special attack. If a gorgon makes eye contact with any creature, friend or foe, for one full Combat Cycle (make Resistance Roll vs Elemental Magic), that creature is turned to stone. The gorgon has no control over this power and cannot reverse it (though a Mage might turn stone to flesh, and a Cleric might remove the curse). Typically, gorgons have a strong death wish, but cannot commit suicide or willingly surrender, so they will trap individuals or groups in order to force a fight and perhaps die.
