Brothers and Sisters, won’t you give me a beat!
Give me a beat!
Give me a beat!
Break it down in your heart!
Break it down in your heart!
Break it down in your heart!
Give me a beat!
Give me a beat!
Never fear the fire and brimstone!
Where are we going to live?
In the house of the Lord forever!
And we’ll dance and we’ll sing and we’ll stomp our feet to the sound of the heavenly host!
Rock the world to the beat of your soul!
Give me a beat!
Give me a beat!
Where are we going to live?
Never fear the fire and brimstone!
Give me a beat!
Where are we going to live?
In the house of the Lord forever!
Break it down in your heart!
Break it down in your heart!
Break it down in your heart!
Give me a beat!

Notes: There's this musical bouncing around in my head about the rise to affluence and power of a southern preacher. This would be one of his songs in a tent revival, when he still believed in himself, if not in the God he pushed on his congregation.
