And the rain comes down
To wash away the pain
And the rain comes down
To wash me all clean
And the rain comes down

Lying on the deck
Looking at the sky
The clouds build up
And the lightning strikes
And the rain comes down
Hot Georgia summer
Hot Georgia showers
Heat lightning crawls
Across the clouds
And the rain comes down

And the rain comes down
To hide all my tears
And the rain comes down
To wash away the years
And the rain comes down

Looking at the sky
The heavy drops fall
I hear your breathing;
I hear your call.
And the rain comes down
I dream of you
As the rainbow falls
I feel your touch
I love you so much
And the rain comes down

And the rain comes down
To wash away the pain
And the rain comes down
To wash me all clean
And the rain comes down

Notes: Begun at Billy's Clubhouse on 23 Aug 2003 and finished tonight. Again, a lot of personal feeling in this. I love thunderstorms, have done so since being young so many decades ago, with visions of Frankenstein's creation in my head, imaginings of life and fantasy and deitic power running through my mind. I lay under the fallin gdrops and my thought invariably anchor themselves to that one thought, that one part of my life that speaks to me day after day, reminding me that I am alive.
