Words and Music by Howard Scott
Musical Arrangment by Mike Hering

Driving down the highway
I don't care where I am
I got the pedal to the metal
Of my black Trans Am
Got a beer in the cooler.
Got a girl by my side
She didn't give a name
But she needed the ride

Oh yeah
Oh yeah

Driving down the road
Doing 95
I didn't give a damn
As long as I was alive
I turned to her
And flashed her a smile
She winked back to me
And so we parked for a while

Oh yeah
Oh yeah

Chorus:
Cuz I’m a long, long way from home
Cuz I’m a long long long long long way from home
Cuz I’m a long long way from home
I’m a million miles from Nowhere
And you’re miles away from me.

I drank myself to Vegas
Because I couldn't fly
I’m standing in the rain
Under neon signs
They wouldn't take my life
I couldn't bet my soul
They wouldn't let me play any rock and roll

Oh yeah
Oh yeah

Chorus
Chorus

Notes: After watching too much Knight Rider on SciFi and harking back to a song Mike and I toyed with in college (written after rereading Stranger in a Strange Land and listening to way too much Robert Plant), I threw this together the same weekend as Road Rage. They seem to go together.
