The Campground
Officially known as the Martha's Vineyard Camp Meeting Association, the Campground started as a Methodist camp meeting in the 1800s. There was a central area which is now a large covered auditorium called "The Tabernacle." And around that were tents... which became tent platforms... and which are now the gingerbread cottages that people come from all around to gaze at. The picture to the right is of the church which sits on the circle near the Tabernacle. Scroll down for more pictures of the area... except the Tabernacle.
