Here is a vid of the new Zippy run in complete darkness. |
The new Zippy supports for 2004. Not necessarily step by step, but, you know, you should be able to saw a 2X4. |
This is a 1' 2X4 screwed to a 2' 2X4, then bracketed using a 12" X 12" metal shelf bracket. |
|
This is the same piece showing how the long piece is screwed into the short piece. This makes the whole thing incredibly strong even without the shelf bracket. The Shelf bracket makes them nigh invulnerable! |

This is what I call the Pulley/Flange assembly. I don't know if that flat piece of metal is called a flange or not. What it is is a flat piece of metal with screw holes in it. Bought it at Lowe's. Didn;t have to make it. That pulley is a 3" garage door replacement pulley with bracket assembly, also purchased form Lowe's. As you can see, the pulley is bolted to the bracket, then the bracket is bolted to the flange. The double-nuts at the top keep the bolt from falling loose. |

This is the Pulley/F;ange assembly screwed into the long end of the painted wooden L. Two screws were used to keep it from turning.

Finished product. This short edge will be placed against our tree trunk and attached with heavy-duty zip ties. The pulley will hang form the bottom side of the long piece. Hope this has helped! The Crackpuppy brackets will be discussed in another forum shortly. |
