OK. Kick me hard. "Come on, baby. I can take it."
So, 1987, and Mike and I started the band that would become Kick Me Hard. After several successful gigs as the Delt house band, we became Kick Me Hard and played several other gigs, including Lost Comedy, a school-sponsored standup comedy and variety show. It was great! That summer (1988), Mike and I wrote about 40 songs together, and another 20 or so since then... something like that.
1 Sep 2004: Mike Hering, cofounder, lead guitarist, song writer, owner of much equipment, and friend, died of natural causes. He was 35. I'm not sure what will happen to Kick Me Hard. despite the several solo things Howard has put together using Garage Band, they were always intended to be remixed with live instruments.
As Big O said about Mike, "He always lived life full-throttle."
...And, as I said, "...And the distortion is always on." We'll miss you, Mike.
Anyway, here are a few of the songs. Hope you enjoy!
